Round cotton-type cleaning patches, 1 inch (about 25 mm) across, for cleaning firearm barrels. A patch is pushed through the bore on a jag or slotted tip at the end of a cleaning rod: first wet with solvent to lift fouling, then dry to remove the dirty solvent, and finally with a little gun oil to leave a light protective film. Round patches sit evenly on a jag and give an even contact all the way around the bore. A 1" patch suits smaller calibres; for larger bores use a bigger patch, or use two together. Keep a supply in your cleaning kit and use each patch once.
