A medium folding pocket knife from Honey Badger Knives, the Johannesburg-based knife brand. The Flipper uses a drop-point blade, Honey Badger's best-selling shape: the spine curves down to a point that is easy to control, and the generous belly makes it good at slicing, so it is a capable all-rounder for everyday carry, camping, fishing and hunting. The 3.0mm blade is Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel, a step up from the standard models for edge holding and corrosion resistance. The blade has a black PVD coating, a hard finish that resists scratches, wear and corrosion. It opens with a flipper tab on a ball-bearing pivot for a smooth, quick action. The black handle is fibre-reinforced nylon (FRN) with a honeycomb pattern that grips in any direction and resists slipping when wet, and the slim, light build sits comfortably in a pocket. The pocket clip can be swapped for left- or right-hand carry. The medium size has a 81mm blade, is 104mm long closed and 185mm open, and weighs 82g.
