A small folding pocket knife from Honey Badger Knives, the Johannesburg-based knife brand, with a orange handle. The Flipper uses a drop-point blade, the brand's best-selling shape: the spine curves down to a point that is easy to control, and the generous belly makes it good at slicing. That makes it a capable all-rounder for everyday carry, camping, fishing and hunting. The blade is D2 tool steel, a high-carbon steel known for good edge retention, 3.0mm thick. This version has no choil, which gives a longer cutting edge. It opens with a flipper tab and runs on two opposing roller bearings holding 18 ball bearings, for a smooth, quick action. The handle is fibre-reinforced nylon (FRN) with a honeycomb pattern that grips in any direction and resists slipping when wet, and the slim, light build sits comfortably in a pocket. The pocket clip can be moved for left- or right-hand carry. The small size has a 71mm blade, is 94mm long when closed and 166mm open, and weighs 70g.
