The Honey Badger Flipper large is a folding pocket knife from the South African Honey Badger Knives range. Its drop-point blade has a convex spine that curves down to the tip, giving an easily controlled point and a generous belly for slicing. It is a good general-purpose shape and a favourite with hunters, and it is Honey Badger's best-selling design. The 92 mm blade is made from D2 tool steel, a high-carbon steel known for good edge retention, finished with a black PVD coating that resists scratches, abrasion and corrosion. It sits in a black FRN (fibre reinforced nylon) handle with a honeycomb texture that grips well, even when wet. A pivot with two roller bearings (18 ball bearings in total) gives a smooth action, and it opens with the flipper tab or thumb hole. It is slim and light, with a reversible pocket clip. Closed it measures 117 mm and it weighs about 110 g. Honey Badger covers its knives with a 10-year manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
