The Honey Badger Hook medium is a folding pocket knife from the South African Honey Badger Knives range. The blade has the same drop-point cutting edge as the Honey Badger Flipper, with a sharpened gut hook added in the spine. The hook lets hunters open the skin of game during field dressing without cutting into what lies underneath. The 81 mm blade is made from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, which is tough and easy to sharpen. It sits in a tan FRN (fibre reinforced nylon) handle with a honeycomb texture that grips well, even when wet. A pivot with two roller bearings (18 ball bearings in total) gives a smooth action, and it opens with the flipper tab or thumb hole. It is slim and light, with a reversible pocket clip. Closed it measures 104 mm and it weighs about 82 g. Honey Badger covers its knives with a 10-year manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
