A medium folding pocket knife from Honey Badger Knives, the Johannesburg-based knife brand. The Leaf blade is less of a drop point than the Flipper and is aimed at everyday use, food preparation and fine slicing. A full finger choil and long knurling along the spine give a secure forward grip for delicate, controlled cuts. The 3.0mm blade is 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, which takes a keen edge, is easy to resharpen and resists rust. It opens with a flipper tab on a ball-bearing pivot for a smooth, quick action. The orange handle is fibre-reinforced nylon (FRN) with a honeycomb pattern that grips in any direction and resists slipping when wet, and the slim, light build sits comfortably in a pocket. The pocket clip can be swapped for left- or right-hand carry. The medium size has a 81mm blade, is 104mm long closed and 185mm open, and weighs 82g. Honey Badger gives a 10-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
