The Honey Badger Leaf large is a folding pocket knife from the South African Honey Badger Knives range. The leaf-point blade is less of a drop point than the Flipper and angles further down, which suits everyday cutting and food preparation, even use as a steak knife. A full finger choil and knurling along the flat of the spine give good control for fine trimming in a forward grip. The 92 mm blade is made from D2 tool steel, a high-carbon steel known for good edge retention. It sits in a orange FRN (fibre reinforced nylon) handle with a honeycomb texture that grips well, even when wet. A pivot with two roller bearings (18 ball bearings in total) gives a smooth action, and it opens with the flipper tab or thumb hole. It is slim and light, with a reversible pocket clip. Closed it measures 117 mm and it weighs about 110 g. Honey Badger covers its knives with a 10-year manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
