A medium folding pocket knife from Honey Badger Knives, the Johannesburg-based knife brand. The Wharncleaver blade combines a straighter cutting edge with a broad, flat-ground blade. It is ideal for controlled slicing and utility cuts and reduces the chance of an accidental puncture with the tip. The 3.0mm blade is 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, which takes a keen edge, is easy to resharpen and resists rust. It opens with a flipper tab on a ball-bearing pivot for a smooth, quick action. This limited-run version has jade-coloured G10 handle scales instead of the standard nylon, a tough glass-fibre laminate with a fine grip texture. The pocket clip can be swapped for left- or right-hand carry. The medium size has a 81mm blade, is 104mm long closed and 185mm open, and weighs 84g.
