The Honey Badger Wharncleaver is a folding pocket knife from South African brand Honey Badger Knives. It combines a straighter cutting edge with elements of a cleaver: a broad, flat-ground blade that slices well while keeping the risk of an accidental puncture from the tip low, which makes it a practical everyday carry knife for many cutting jobs. This medium orange version has an 81 mm D2 tool steel blade, is 185 mm open and 104 mm closed, and weighs 84 g. It is the no-choil version, which gives a longer cutting edge. D2 is a high-carbon tool steel known for holding an edge well. The handle is FRN (fibre-reinforced nylon) with Honey Badger's honeycomb texture, which gives a multi-directional grip that stays secure even when wet, while keeping the knife light and slim in the pocket. The blade pivots on two opposing roller bearings holding 18 ball bearings in total, for a very smooth opening and closing action, and the pocket clip can be swapped for left- or right-hand carry.
