The Honey Badger Wharncleaver small is a folding pocket knife from the South African Honey Badger Knives range. The Wharncleaver combines a nearly straight, flat-ground edge with elements of a cleaver blade. It slices well while the tip shape reduces the risk of an accidental puncture, which makes it a practical everyday carry knife for a wide range of cutting jobs. The 71 mm blade is made from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, which is tough and easy to sharpen, finished with a black PVD coating that resists scratches, abrasion and corrosion. It sits in a black FRN (fibre reinforced nylon) handle with a honeycomb texture that grips well, even when wet. A pivot with two roller bearings (18 ball bearings in total) gives a smooth action, and it opens with the flipper tab or thumb hole. It is slim and light, with a reversible pocket clip. Closed it measures 94 mm and it weighs about 73 g. Honey Badger covers its knives with a 10-year manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
