The Ledlenser P9R Core LEP uses Laser Excited Phosphor (LEP) technology to create a very tightly focused white beam with an extreme reach of up to 1300 m, far beyond what a normal LED torch of this size achieves. It is suited to search and rescue, marine use, farm and game work, hunting and fishing, where you need to see detail at long distance. For close work it also has white and red flood light for even illumination. A mode switch gives direct access to the light functions. Output is up to 400 lumens in boost, with about 4 hours on power and 10 hours on low. The hard-anodised aluminium housing resists wear and corrosion and is rated IP68. The supplied 21700 lithium-ion battery (4800 mAh) charges via the Magnetic Charge System. The torch is 176 mm long and weighs about 269 g. A wrist strap, pouch and magnetic charging cable are included.
