National Geographic 114/500 Compact Tabletop Telescope

The National Geographic Compact Telescope is a beginner-friendly Newtonian reflector on a tabletop Dobsonian-style mount, ready to use straight out of the box. Its 114 mm mirror gathers much more light than a small 70–76 mm telescope, showing the craters of the Moon, Jupiter's cloud bands and moons, Saturn's rings and bright star clusters. With a 500 mm focal length it gives wide, bright views. The supplied 20 mm and 6 mm eyepieces give 25x and 83x magnification, and a red-dot finder helps you aim. The mount sits on a table or other stable surface and is moved by hand, which is simple for children and families. Being a reflector, it is meant for night-sky viewing rather than daytime land viewing.
