The Nextorch iStar is a compact rechargeable headlamp with an unusual flip-up cover that switches it on and off: lift the cover and the light comes on, and the angle of the cover together with the top button gives stepless dimming of the spotlight from 450 down to 20 lumens. It has five modes: a focused spotlight reaching about 80 metres, high and low floodlight using natural-tone light, red light and red flashing. The spot gives up to 21 hours on its lowest setting. A built-in 1100mAh battery charges directly by USB-C. The head is IPX4 water resistant, impact resistant to 1 metre, measures about 67 x 39 x 32 mm and weighs about 70 g, so it is comfortable for long hikes, running, camping or work.
