The Nite Ize CamJam XT Large is a cast aluminium rope tightener that combines a carabiner clip on one end with a rotating cam on the other, so you can tighten, tension and secure heavy loads without knots. Anchor the carabiner to a hook, D-ring or loop, feed the rope through the cam and pull: the cam locks the rope until you rotate the cam lever to release it. It can be used as a fixed-end system or tied into a loop to bundle and wrap loads. The large XT takes rope from 3 mm to 9 mm thick. On its own it has a load limit of 227 kg (500 lb) and a break strength of 680 kg; with the included 10 ft (3 m) white rope the working load limit is 114 kg (250 lb). Use it for tarps, roof-rack loads, trailers and camp setups.
