The Nite Ize Figure 9 Carabiner Large is a carabiner and rope tightener in one, for tensioning and securing bigger loads without knots. Clip it to an anchor point, wrap the rope through the prongs and pull tight; the rope holds until you unwrap it, and the Figure 9 lets you release high tension in a controlled way. Use it to tether a canoe to a vehicle, tie boxes to a trolley, bundle firewood or pitch a tarp. It works as a loop system, fixed-end system or anchor-clip system, with laser-engraved instructions on the body. It is made of strong, lightweight aluminium with a smooth stainless steel wire gate, fits rope from 3 mm to 9 mm, opens to 19 mm and has a load limit of 67.5 kg (150 lb). Not for climbing. Supplied without rope.
