The Nite Ize SlideLock is a utility carabiner with a slide-to-lock gate: push and slide to lock the stainless steel gate so it cannot open by accident, and slide it back to unlock. Instead of a bulky round tube, the body has a flat, rectangular cross-section that is slim and low profile, so it feeds through small openings and lies flat in a pocket. The #4 is the largest size in the range, measuring about 52 x 78 x 14 mm with a weight rating of about 34 kg (75 lb), and this one has a black finish. Use it to carry keys, a water bottle, gloves, tools or gear on a belt loop, backpack or bag. Like all SlideLock carabiners it is an accessory clip and is not for climbing.
