Nite Ize Steelie is a magnetic phone mounting system: a small magnetic socket on the back of the phone or case snaps onto a steel ball on the mount, and the ball lets you tilt and turn the phone to any viewing angle. The Orbiter Vent Kit puts the magnet in the mount instead of on the phone. A thin, low-profile metal plate sticks to your phone or case with 3M 300LSE adhesive, and the Orbiter Magnetic Socket, with a powerful neodymium magnet, silicone centre and a high-friction ring that stops the phone slipping, attaches to the Steelie Vent Mount. The vent mount has a cast aluminium body and a cam locking lever that grips most vehicle vents and unclips to move to another car. The Orbiter system also works with Apple MagSafe chargers: stick the plate to the outside of the MagSafe charger and the phone charges while docked.
