RAM Defense Pepper Fog in a 60 ml can, supplied shrink-wrapped. The can carries a 10% OC concentration and an orange flip-top actuator that helps prevent accidental spraying. The fog pattern spreads into a wide cone, which makes it easier to hit an attacker who is moving. It uses OC (oleoresin capsicum), the active ingredient taken from very hot chilli peppers, which causes intense burning, watering eyes and coughing on contact so that you can get away. RAM Defense describes its sprays as non-toxic and non-flammable, with the main effect lasting at least an hour. Residual discomfort can last up to about three hours. The 60 ml size is small enough for a handbag, a jacket pocket or a holster. Check the wind before use, aim at the face and then get away. Keep away from children and heat.
