A RAM Whisper slip-on silencer (sound moderator) made to fit Norinco .22 rifles. It slides over the end of the barrel instead of screwing onto a threaded muzzle, so it can be fitted without having the barrel threaded. A moderator reduces the muzzle report, which is easier on the shooter's and neighbours' ears, causes less disturbance to game and livestock, and can soften recoil slightly. Check that it fits your specific Norinco model before buying, fit it firmly so that it is aligned with the bore, and check the point of impact afterwards, as adding weight to the muzzle can shift it. Hearing protection is still recommended.
