A shotgun cleaning kit for 12 gauge guns with a three-piece cleaning rod that screws together for use and breaks down for storage. Shotgun barrels pick up plastic wad residue, lead and powder fouling quickly, and regular cleaning keeps the bore smooth, patterns consistent and the steel free from rust. Run a brush through the barrel to loosen fouling, then follow with a mop or patches to wipe it clean and leave a light film of oil. The rod sections pack away compactly in a gun bag or safe. The exact contents of the kit are not listed by the supplier, so check the pack before use.
