The Spyderco Assist is a pocket-sized rescue knife built for first responders, boaters and anyone who wants a dependable emergency tool. Its hollow-ground VG-10 stainless steel blade has a blunt tip that slides safely under seat belts and clothing without puncturing skin or flotation gear, and a mostly serrated edge that cuts through webbing and rope. An oversized Trademark Round Hole and Cobra Hood allow quick one-handed opening, even with gloves. The high-visibility orange FRN handle has finger grooves and Bi-Directional Texture for a secure grip, a built-in survival whistle and a reversible wire clip for tip-up carry. Squeezing the closed knife extends a retractable carbide glass breaker from the butt of the handle for breaking vehicle windows, and the finger grooves let the blade scissor-cut cord. The blade locks open with a back lock. Made in Japan.
