The Spyderco Astute adds a sleeker, more stylish design to Spyderco's Value Folder range. It is based on a design by Hungarian architect Gábor Szakonyi. The 77 mm blade is full-flat ground from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel and has a long, gently curved cutting edge with good point control. The open-backed handle has full stainless steel liners for strength and black peel-ply-textured G-10 scales for a secure grip. The liners form a sturdy LinerLock and anchor a four-position pocket clip, and a lined lanyard hole rounds off the carry options. A Trademark Round Hole gives one-handed opening with either hand. At only 77 g with a slim 2.5 mm blade, it is light in the pocket and a good slicer for everyday tasks. Made in China.
