The Spyderco Civilian is a purpose-designed personal-protection folding knife, originally made for undercover narcotics officers working without firearms. Its defining feature is a fully serrated SpyderEdge reverse 'S' blade, 104 mm long and hollow ground from Japanese VG-10 stainless steel, which gives fearsome cutting performance even with little training. The handle is built on a single stainless steel liner with textured black G-10 scales and a high-strength back lock. A two-position clip allows tip-up or tip-down carry on the right side.
