The Supa-LED Scout is a high-output rechargeable ultraviolet torch for finding scorpions and other fluorescent targets at night. A 10 W UV LED with a wavelength of 390–400 nm makes scorpions glow, and it is equally useful for detecting pet stains, checking banknotes and inspecting minerals or forensic marks. It has a simple on/off switch, a shock-proof anodised aluminium body and IP44 water resistance. Power comes from an 18650 lithium-ion battery with protection, charged by USB cable; charging takes about 5 hours and gives up to about 4 hours of use. It is 140 mm long and weighs 142 g. Supplied in a blister with a USB cable.
