The Tonglite Champ is a heavy-duty braai tong with a built-in light for evening braais. A removable aluminium flashlight mounted on the tong shines a warm white light onto the grid, so you can see the colour of the meat and tell when it is done. The flashlight runs on one AA battery, which is included, and comes off for use as a normal torch. The tong itself has wide, slotted jaws that grip anything from a sosatie to a rack of ribs, a spring-loaded action, comfortable grip inlays and a locking clip to keep it closed for storage. At about 42–45 cm long it keeps your hands well away from the coals. Remove the flashlight before washing.
