The Tonglite is a braai tong with its own torch, so you can check the meat after dark without holding a phone or headlamp. A small aluminium LED flashlight clips onto the tong and shines down onto the grid. Its warm white light shows the true colour of the meat, making it easier to judge when it is done. The flashlight is waterproof and comes off for use as an everyday torch; it runs on one AAA battery, which is included. The tong has a comfortable fibre-reinforced nylon handle, stainless steel jaws that grip both large and small pieces, a pivoting action that needs little effort, and a long reach to keep your hands away from the heat. It locks closed for storage and can hang on a hook. Dishwasher safe once the flashlight is removed.
