A small handheld pull-through knife sharpener with two slots. The tungsten carbide slot is for coarse sharpening: it quickly sets a new edge on a dull or damaged blade. The ceramic slot is for fine honing and finishing, to polish the edge and keep a sharp knife sharp between sharpenings. To use, hold the sharpener steady on a flat surface and draw the blade through the slot from heel to tip a few times with light pressure, coarse slot first and then the ceramic slot. Compact enough to keep in a kitchen drawer, tackle box or camping kit. Suitable for plain-edged knives; it is not meant for serrated blades.
