The Ultratec Monsoon is a quiet rechargeable desk fan that oscillates and has two speeds, built for load shedding and power failures. It runs from the mains (AC) or from its built-in rechargeable battery (DC), so it keeps going when the power goes off. A built-in LED emergency light and a night-light function add light when it is dark, and a USB port lets you charge a cellphone from the fan. On battery it runs about 3 hours on high and up to 10 hours on low, and it takes 8 to 12 hours to charge fully. A practical choice for bedrooms, offices and small shops where a fan and some light are needed during outages. In the box: the Monsoon oscillating fan.
